Mothusa KgosiKgolo – Gamalete
Born on 30 October 1967 in Ramotswa, he is a proud member of the Balete lineage, bearing the sereto Nare and belonging to mophato wa Ma Tsosa Ngwao. Married with children, he is deeply rooted in family values, cultural preservation and the continued strengthening of Balete heritage and identity.
Academically accomplished an Ordinary Technician Diploma (OTD) in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering as well as Computer-Aided Design (CAD). Professionally, he has worked with ZMCK Consulting and EMC Consulting, contributing his technical expertise, problem-solving abilities and commitment to professional excellence. He speaks both Setswana and English fluently.
Guided by the motto “Fear not… Se boife… Sa Gatlape,” he stands for courage, resilience, and principled leadership in both community and professional life.

Among his notable ancestors is Kgosi Mokgosi_a_Poo, remembered as one of the most influential leaders of the Balete people. Kgosi Mokgosi united morafe following Ntwa ya Diphafa and earned respect for his leadership during the historic Battle of Dimawe alongside Kgosi Sechele against the Boers. He is also remembered for defeating the Bangwaketse during the conflict of 1881 and for being the longest-reigning Kgosi of the Balete tribe.
His family heritage also reflects longstanding historical and cultural relations with Bafurutshe, Bakwena, Batalaote, Bakgatla and Batlokwa communities, reinforcing values of unity, cooperation and shared cultural identity across merafe.
